OUR BARRISTERS

Allan Cooke

Allan has been a lawyer for over 30 years.  He graduated LLB (Hons) from Victoria University and later completed both a Post Graduate Diploma in Child Advocacy (2008) and his PhD – State Responsibility for Children in Care- (2014) from the University of Otago.

Anesha Dhanji

Anesha provides pragmatic legal advice and guidance that her clients can rely on. Anesha is often appointed to represent children in Family Court proceedings. She appears regularly in the Family Court and District Court and has also appeared in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.

Annie Rakena

Annie Rakena was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor at the Auckland High Court in 2010. She has over a decade of experience in all matters touching family law. She prides herself in providing her clients with reliable, honest and expert legal advice to help navigate and guide clients on their journey.

Janice Harland

Janice has over 25 years of experience in assisting clients with family and relationship law issues. She is an expert in family law and is well known to the South Auckland and South East Auckland regions for her community work in this area of the law.

Patrick Kannemeyer

Patrick works in three main areas of law - relationship property, domestic violence and the law relating to children’s care and safety. Patrick engages in both private and public law cases.

Ling Ly

Ling specialises in relationship property law. As well as advising clients in respect to relationship property issues, Ling’s work includes advising and acting for clients on spousal maintenance and child support issues, parenting and guardianship, adoption and domestic violence.
